April 27th-Afternoon | GPS -Global Positioning System
Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” The GPS is the most powerful piece of equipment for people to use when trying to find a place they’re looking for. I was recently invited to speak in Virginia by one of my friends and a church member let me borrow two of his travelling gadgets: 1. an EZ pass which allows you to pay tolls without delays; and 2. a GPS that maps and leads you to your destination. On one of the interstates during the road trip, there was a really bad accident and traffic stalled. I was forced to exit onto small local streets without knowing where to go, but immediately after I exited, the GPS “recalculated” and started to lead me by telling me where to turn right left. While the places were foreign to me, I just trusted the GPS and I ended up enjoying the nature around us: the mountain, fields and the beauty of God’s creations without worrying where to go. Thank God for the GPS for travel, but regarding life, I’d would recommend God’s Positioning System that guides us through our journey through life. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.”
