1 Chronicles 22:13 says, “…Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or lose heart!” There’s this story about a French Marshall reporting to General Napoleon saying, “I fear the battle is lost.” Napoleon very coolly looked at his watch and replied: “Time for another battle. Call for the army to a fresh charge.” Napoleon never lost heart during military battles which is why he was nicknamed Napoleon the Great. Churchill said in one of his most memorable speeches, “We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, and we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender.” In Romans 8:31 says “If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Be strong and courageous – in Christ we already have the victory.
