Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” The legend of King Midas says that Midas asked and received of the gods the gift of having everything that he touched turn into gold. At first King Midas was delighted as he saw his riches grow. Midas, however, he ran into immediate difficulties with eating because the moment he’d touch his food it would into gold. See, there’s poverty in riches and riches in poverty. The best riches are the riches that God will supply to a person who asks of Him. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 5:19, “it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life – that is indeed a gift from God.” So what do we do? We get our untapped riches from God.
