May 7th-Afternoon | ALWAYS BE FAIR

Matthew 7:12 says, "Do for others what you would like them to do for you.” It’s been said that King Philip of Macedon fell asleep one day while hearing a case and that when he suddenly awoke without having all the facts of the case together, the king passed an unjust sentence on the man who was on trial. Shocked by the sentence, the sentenced man cried out, “I appeal!” An upset Philip asked, “And to whom do you appeal?” The man replied, “From the king who was sleeping to the king who is awake.” The king was so moved by the man’s logical appeal that he reversed the judgment he had passed. None of us are perfect or all knowing. Always be fair in dealing with people considering that you too make mistakes. Let God be your influence to be fair and just.
