1 Corinthians 10:13 – But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.

Many of the mistakes that you’ve ever made start from temptation. Lies are always the source of temptation, so if you know the truth, you won’t fall into temptations. James clearly stated in James 1:13, “remember, no one who wants to do wrong should ever say, ‘God is tempting me.’ God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else either”. In James 1:14, he exposes the reason why we give in because, “Temptation comes from the lure of our own evil desires.” I recently learned that along the banks of the Amazon River lives a species of large and colorful spiders. When one of these creatures spreads itself out, it looks exactly like the blossom of a brilliant flower tempting bees and other insects to come upon it. Instead, the spider secretes a poison that drugs the unsuspecting and tempted visitor to prepare them for the spider. Learn to identify sinful things that are tempting to you and flee from those very temptations – you might find yourself just like an unsuspecting little bumble bee.
