May 14th - Evening | TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING – THE WRONG WAY
Proverbs 16:25 – There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.
Have you ever tried to do the right thing the wrong way? How would you know if your choice were right? The best of intentions is usually at the heart of our decision, but even with the best of intentions the result can still be wrong. In 1912, one of the builders of the Titanic said, “God Himself could not sink this ship,” Naively, the shipbuilders and public all believed that the ship was unsinkable. As fate would have it, while on its first journey the captain gave the order to abandon ship. 1,515 men, women, and children died that day on a ship deemed unsinkable by man. We can’t boast of everything we do and we’ve got to acknowledge that our mind is limited. Do you want to try to do the right thing the right way? Start by asking our all-knowing God and read His Word.
