Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.

People have invented things that made the world smaller. Centuries ago, who would have thought that one day man could venture in outer space, that man would be able to watch what’s going on in every part of the world, that man could communicate faster and clearer than anyone could have ever imagined. With today’s technology all these things are now possible. I’d read this joke about a foolish woman who was killed in a car accident and met the angel of death. She said to the angel, “I’m still young and I still have plans for my life so give me more time to live”. Well, her wish was granted and she was revived. As soon as she was conscious in the hospital, she asked the doctor if she could have plastic surgery to make her look like Marilyn Monroe. The doctor granted her wish. When she was released from the hospital and crossing the street, she was tragically hit by a car and killed. Meeting the angel of death again she said, “Did you make another mistake, I was just granted a life extension?” The angel replied “Marilyn Monroe!? I thought I took you already.” It’s a silly story, but we just can’t play around with life and find success. Let God give you His wisdom so you won’t be fooled.
