Psalm 34:4
I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me, freeing me from all my fears.

Fear is what paralyzes a person. Faith and fear are proportionally correlative; when your fear is high, your faith is low. But the way to decrease fear is not to increase your faith, but rather to increase love. 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.” I remember an illustration about mothers where suddenly a snake appeared and everybody ran off except for the mothers, who instead showing fear stayed put because of love to make sure the babies were safe. Their love for their children outweighed their fear of a snake. The love in our hearts for God increases our faith in Him and makes us fearless to do seemingly impossible things.
