Ephesians 6:12
For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.

History tells us that during the coronation of King Edward VI, the three swords symbolizing his reign over three countries were presented to the new king. The king, however, was dissatisfied and asked for an additional sword. The people were curios, so the King responded, “The Bible, The Sword of the Spirit which is to be preferred before these swords.” The Bible commands us in Ephesians 6:17 to, “Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD of GOD.” A wise king knows that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but in the spirit, and the only way to win is to have the Sword of the Spirit.
