June 15th - Morning | LUST
Colossians 3:5
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don't be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry.
I read a story about how an Eskimo would kill a wolf. It said, “The Eskimo would coat his knife’s blade with animal blood and allows it to freeze and layer it again with blood and another until the blade is completely concealed by frozen blood. A wolf then follows the source of the scent and discovers it; he licks it, tasting the fresh frozen blood and would lick faster until the keen edge is bare, the wolf licks the blade and does not notice the razor-sharp sting of the naked blade on his own tongue. His greedy thirst is being satisfied by his own blood.” Lust is satisfying at start, but the end of lust is your end. |
