June 19th - Evening | YOU ALONE ARE MY HOPE

Jeremiah 17:17
Lord, do not desert me now! You alone are my hope in the day of disaster.

When desperate people lose hope, there’s a tendency to consider ending their lives. The reason that they would consider such a possibility is that they’re not able to see anything bright in their situation. Everything appears to be dark, painful and without solution. Hope is a thing in the future that our finite minds will never be able to comprehend in our present. Only God can know everything because He is present in the eternity past and the eternity future at the same time.  Prophet Jeremiah recognized it. His prayer was for God to rescue him because God was his only hope. Without question, it can be said that if you have God in your life, your life is brighter because you have hope.
