June 22nd - Afternoon | FRUITFUL IN THE LAND OF SUFFERING

Genesis 41:52
Joseph named his second son Ephraim, for he said, "God has made me fruitful in this land of my suffering.

This story is too good to be true but it is true. Joseph was sold by his brothers to become a slave. Later, he was charged with a crime that he did not commit and was inprisoned. Throughout all of this, his faith in God did not waiver and he did not violate the commands of God. It was impossible for him to get out of prison, but God made a way. Not only was he released, but in time he was made a prime minister of the Egypt. More than half of his life was spent in the school of hard knocks, but when he passed his tests, the Lord promoted him. Do not question what God promised in the light as you go through the night. You can always be fruitful in the darkness and the land of suffering.
